Undergrad chapter members honored
The 91ÑÇÉ«´«Ã½ , Chi Omega Lambda, recognizes exceptional undergraduate juniors and seniors pursuing degrees in the molecular life sciences at colleges or universities with 91ÑÇÉ«´«Ã½ Student Chapters. Students are recognized for their scholarly achievement, research accomplishments and outreach activities. 91ÑÇÉ«´«Ã½ usually holds an induction ceremony during the annual meeting, but the 2020 meeting was canceled due to COVID-19 so inductees instead will be recognized on the society’s website.
91ÑÇÉ«´«Ã½’s Student Chapters program also presents an Outstanding Chapter award each year to recognize a Student Chapter that demonstrates leadership in education activities, exceptional commitment to increasing public scientific awareness, interaction with other campus events, and participation in regional and national meetings. This year’s winner is the Northeastern University Student Chapter, advised by Kirsten Fertuck.
