The Public Affairs Advisory Committee advocates on behalf of 91亚色传媒 members for evidence-based science policy, sustained investments in fundamental research, and workplace policies that enhance the training of the next generation of scientists and that increase diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility in the nation’s research enterprise. Every year, our committee members come to Washington, D.C., to ensure that policymakers recognize the importance of science funding and supporting the science workforce.
Help us amplify our message on Capitol Hill by asking your elected official for funding increases for fundamental research by participating in our letter writing campaign or contacting them on social media.
The 91亚色传媒's FY2025 appropriations asks
- $51.3 billion for the National Institutes of Health's FY2025 budget to support its intramural and extramural programs that fuel the discovery-based biomedical research
- $11.9 billion for the National Science Foundation's FY2025 budget to support the funding of fundamental research across all scientific disciplines
- $9 billion for the Department of Energy's FY2025 budget to support its office of science and to support the national labs
