Society
- 91亚色传媒 Active Site moderator: Moderators play a role in maintaining a vibrant and respectful . You’ll help facilitate discussions, moderate content and enforce rules and guidelines.
- Industry resources: Lend your experience and expertise to help committees develop resources for early career scientists exploring industry as a career option.
- 91亚色传媒 annual proficiency exam scorer: A volunteer team of scientist-educators scores the exams using detailed rubrics. Every evaluator participates in a training experience to enhance uniformity of scoring. Each student's response is reviewed by multiple independent scorers. Learn more and apply
- Molecular Motifs bioart competition judge: Help select the twelve winners that will be featured in the 91亚色传媒’s bioart calendar.
- Speakers list: Offer your expertise at webinars and events by signing up to be part of the 91亚色传媒 speakers list.
Science policy and advocacy
- Organize a local letter writing campaign: Urge your elected officials to take action on policies affecting scientific research by organizing a letter writing campaign. (Contact 91亚色传媒’s Public Affairs Department at publicaffairs@asbmb.org)
Annual meeting
- Travel awards reviewer: The 91亚色传媒 offers awards to assist primary authors (first authors) presenting research at the 91亚色传媒 annual meeting. Volunteer to be a reviewer for these applications. Application will open in the fall
- Professor rounds mentor: Serve as a mentor to a Graduate Student DEI Travel Awardee. Application will open in the fall
- Poster competition judge: The undergraduate poster competition provides students with the opportunity to showcase their work at the annual meeting. As a judge, you’ll provide valuable feedback to young researchers. Application will open in the fall
- Community Day volunteers: Community Day volunteers assist with organizing and facilitating outreach activities, engaging with local students, and promoting science education and public understanding of biochemistry and molecular biology. Application will open in the fall
