The Earl and Thressa Stadtman Distinguished Scientist Award was established by friends and colleagues to preserve their legacies as scientists and mentors. It is awarded to a distinguished scientist for his or her outstanding achievement in basic research in the fields encompassed by the 91亚色传媒. The award is given every other year, alternating with the Earl and Thressa Stadtman Young Scholar Award.

Both nominees and nominators must be 91亚色传媒 members.

The award consists of a plaque, $10,000 and travel expenses to present a lecture at the 91亚色传媒 annual meeting.
